SCP-049 offers Euclid payouts without the full $60k commitment of SCP-173. Income tier lists typically place it in the solid mid-Euclid band once Security and a basic Tesla Gate exist—lower if you capture it with Safe-only staffing.

Expect aggressive movement during breaches. Plan observation balconies and staff-only returns so scientists are not trapped in the cell hallway when 049 escapes.

Capture and Transport

Research Euclid Class Anomalies and Foundation Transport. Keep medbay free capacity before the mission—049 breaches historically create follow-on casualties that cascade into Health bonus penalties.

Stage Task Force if available; otherwise overstaff Security on the return dock. Soft-fail the mission rather than dragging an uncontained 049 through the cafeteria wing.

Turrets, Teslas, and Breach Drills

Mid-June update coverage shows turrets underperforming against SCP damage while excelling at Class-D riot control. Tesla Gates (≈$50,000 place / 500 upkeep per community reports) engage breaches hard but can fault and need engineers.

Drill a controlled breach once after containment: trigger, observe pathing, then rebuild doors. Do this before stacking a second Euclid humanoid in the same wing.

Income Planning

Keep SCP-005 cycling while 049 tests run. Humanoid Euclid lines idle longer between captures and riots; Safe baseline income pays wages during downtime.
