SCP-173 sits in A-tier Euclid income when infrastructure is ready—and D-tier operationally if you capture it with only Safe-wing staffing. Treat vendor hype screenshots as unverified until your Profit tab confirms payouts after a successful desk link.

The mid-July 2026 rework adjusted breach scripting; reload private servers after that patch family and re-test sightline corridors. Old layouts that “worked in June” may leak during riots.

Capture Prerequisites

Complete Euclid Class Anomalies research ($40,000) and Foundation Transport. Hire Task Force from at least one Armory ($30,000 furnishing). Stage Tesla Gates and turrets on the return path—turrets handle Class-D riots well; Teslas punish breach chains.

Practice with SCP-999 first. A failed 173 run saturates medbay and tanks Health bonuses across the facility.

Containment Layout

Build an airlocked Euclid cell: two doors between corridor and chamber, observation window for staff, and no Class-D dorm path sharing the same hallway. Keep medbay on the same floor—breach recovery downtime destroys ROI faster than the capture fee.

Place roof or floor turrets covering the wing entrance and a Tesla Gate on the primary choke. Mid-June footage (Y3lQA3BgoPQ) demonstrates turret limits against SCPs versus strong riot control—plan both layers.

Income vs Security Trade-off

A staffed 173 wing can out-earn Safe fillers, but one unchecked breach wipes hours of net profit. Keep SCP-005 online as baseline income while 173 cycles.

If August 2026 has no active codes, do not fund 173 captures with expired YouTube strings. Grind Safe tests, then unlock security research before the mission.

Director Checklist

Never share a Class-D highway with the 173 wing. Route scientists through staff-only corridors. After capture, verify the red triangle link before leaving the session.
